Move-In Day/Freshman Induction 2009

For many Indiana University students, New Student Move-In Day marks the first step in becoming part of IU’s renowned tradition and truly feeling what it means to be a Hoosier. With fall classes still a few days away, Move-In Day 2009, which marked the beginning of Welcome Week, offered a chance for IU’s newest students to get settled and become acquainted with new friends. Among those on hand to greet students and their parents were IU President Michael McRobbie and Provost Karen Hanson, who later that day presided over the official Freshman Induction ceremonies in the IU Auditorium.
